Free Radon Test Device Loan Program Launches at Morton Mandan Public Library

Attention residents of Morton, Grant, Mercer, Oliver, and Sioux Counties! The Morton Mandan Public Library, in partnership with Western Plains Public Health, is launching a free Radon Test Device Loan Program starting April 30, 2024.

Radon is a colorless, odorless gas that can build up in homes and increase the risk of lung cancer. Testing your home is the only way to know if you’re at risk. Now, you can check out a radon test device from the library—just like a book!

To learn more, join us for a public forum with regional health officer, Dr. Field, on April 30th from 5:30–6:00 PM at the Morton Mandan Public Library. Dr. Field will discuss the dangers of radon exposure and how to keep your home safe.
