LAUREN GRAY has been on the radio in the Bismarck-Mandan market since moving here from Fargo in 1987 with her husband, Jeff. Before that, she worked at Fargo-Moorhead stations K-100 (now Froggy 99.9) and Q98. Her radio career began at age 16 in Long Prairie, Minnesota where she worked part-time afternoons and evenings after high school. She worked at Z96 and Y93 in Mandan and Bismarck, respectively. She took a few years off the air full time in the ‘90s to produce three healthy boys, yet managed to keep her fingers in the business and continue her voice work with babies in tow, voicing commercials all over Bismarck-Mandan.
Lauren enjoyed a 4 year stint as host of KXMB CBS 12 television’s Noon Show, producing a live public service interview segment every weekday. Lauren was also the afternoon drive personality for Bismarck’s Rock 101.
Lauren has worked for Bob Denver in various roles over a nearly 30 year period. She says, “I’d follow that guy anywhere!” She has done myriad commercials, narrations, automated phone system recordings, video training presentations and television ads over the years. She loves doing live broadcasts, artist introductions, and emceeing events.
She’s been a fitness instructor for Bismarck Parks & Recreation District for over 25 years and is very active with Holy Cross Lutheran, a new mission church in north Bismarck.
She’s thrilled to be one of the founding announcers of the new live and local radio station, MOJO 107.5, covering the on-air mid-day shift from 10am-3pm weekdays and often 9am-12noon Saturdays. She also serves as the station’s Public Service Director.
